The SP inaugurated blood and eye donation camps organised by Sri Ganapathi Bhakta Brundam. He appreciated the organisers of Sri Ganapathi Bhakta Brundam for doing wonderful cultural programmes on the occasion of Vinayaka Chaturthi.
Kurnool: Superintendent of Police (SP) Ake Ravi Krishna along with his family members offered prayers to Lord Ganesh at Palakottala in Lakshmi Nagar here on Tuesday. Ravi Krishna lauded the youth’s enthusiasm for their participation in spiritual programmes.
The SP inaugurated blood and eye donation camps organised by Sri Ganapathi Bhakta Brundam. He appreciated the organisers of Sri Ganapathi Bhakta Brundam for doing wonderful cultural programmes on the occasion of Vinayaka Chaturthi.
As many as 60 members, who participated in the inaugural function, had agreed to donate their eyes and around 112 persons have donated blood. He urged the people to come forward in large numbers and join their hands for a good cause.
Later, the SP and his family members visited the Vinayaka pandals at police quarters and Vidya Nagar Colony and offered prayers to Lord Vinayaka.
III-Town Circle Inspector G Madhusudhan Rao, Ganesh Committee members K Narendra Reddy, Suresh Kumar, Ramesh Babu and others accompanied the SP. The Joint Collector-2 Rama Swamy also offered prayers to Lord Ganesh located at the Collectorate. The Collectorate staff was present on the occasion.
