It may be mentioned here that District Collector Siddharth Jain visited Kanipakam temple a couple of days ago and reportedly observed the difficulties being faced by the devotees, who were taking part in Brahmotsavams. 

Chittoor: Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) Kodandarami Reddy opened a command control centre at the office of the RDO here on Wednesday. The RDO said that command centre was opened to meet the needs of devotees visiting the Varasiddhi Vinayaka Swamy temple at Kanipakam for the ongoing Brahmotsavams.

Speaking to The Hans India, the RDO said that there was heavy influx of pilgrims for the ongoing Brahmotsavams at Kanipakam temple. He stated that instructions were given to the Executive Officer to arrange separate queue lines at temple for senior citizens, physically challenged, pregnant women and children.

Reddy said that VIP darshan would be allowed between 2 pm and 4 pm only every day to avoid inconvenience to devotees. He stated that 20 IT students from Sreenivasa Institute of Technology and Management Studies (SITAMS) were selected as volunteers to know the experiences and difficulties being faced by the pilgrims at Kanipakam temple.

Volunteers would submit their daily reports every day so that needs of devotees were attended in a better way,” he added.The RDO said that standing instructions were given to the officials to develop a spiritual atmosphere at temple premises.

Officials told to provide drinking water to devotees, to keep the toilets clean and maintain sanitation in temple premises,” he noted. Reddy stated that all activities at temple would be monitored from command control centre through CCTV cameras.
