The activists of the both parties raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Addressing a gathering, the YSRCP Guntur city president Lella Appi Reddy criticised Chandrababu Naidu for his failure to mount pressure on the Centre to get SCS.
Guntur: The YSRCP and Left parties leaders staged dharnas in front of BSNL Office here on Thursday to mount pressure on the Centre to accord Special Category Status to the State and keep its election promise. They warned that they would continue their agitation till the Centre accords Special Category Status to the State.
The activists of the both parties raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Addressing a gathering, the YSRCP Guntur city president Lella Appi Reddy criticised Chandrababu Naidu for his failure to mount pressure on the Centre to get SCS.
He said that the package announced by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is not useful for the development of the State.
If SCS is accorded, entrepreneurs would get concessions, as a result the State would get industries and employment opportunities would be generated.
He demanded Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu withdraw TDP Ministers from the Union Cabinet immediately. Addressing a gathering, the CPI leader Muppalla Nageswara Rao warned that the BJP and TDP governments would pay price for cheating the people once again. He pointed out that package is not equal to SCS.
He said that the BJP and TDP governments rendered injustice to the State once again. He warned that they will continue their agitation till the State government grants Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.
