Swiss challenge: Attorney General to argue case on behalf of AP govt

Justice M S Ramachandra Rao of the High Court at Hyderabad on Wednesday heard arguments of the counsel of petitioner on awarding of contract to develop start-up area of Amaravathi, proposed capital of AP in Swiss challenge method.

The judge was dealing with petitions filed by Aditya Constructions and Enviran Engineering Company. The petitioners said the provisions of AP Infrastructure Development Act were violated. As reported earlier, the court expressed doubts about legality of not disclosing offer made by Singapore Consortium regarding the contractual works for development of Amaravathi. The Attorney General will address the court on Thursday.
