Sivaji for better amenities to SC, ST staff

Guntur: State SC and ST Commission Chairman Karem Sivaji has felt that there is a need to purify administration in Acharya Nagarjuna University.He conducted a review meeting with Vice-Chancellor Prof A Rajendra Prasad and professors on facilities being provided to SC/ST students and employees, in the university administrative building here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he instructed the officials to follow norms and roster points in filling the vacancies. He instructed the officials to conduct audit through SC Corporation in filling SC posts and ST Welfare department in filling ST vacancies once in six months and expressed dissatisfaction for not conducting audit since 2009.

Sivaji expressed unhappiness over the facilities being provided by the university to SC and ST students. He said university is like a temple and called for concerted efforts of employees to render better services to students.

Earlier, he distributed dictionaries to SKCV schoolchildren. He also garlanded the statues of Buddhist philosopher Acharya Nagarjuna and Dalit icon Dr B R Ambedkar.ANU Vice-Chancellor Prof A Rajendra Prasad and university staff
