TDP compromised on SCS, flays KVP
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, the senior Congress leader reminded that many parties came out in support of SCS to the State, when he introduced private member bill in the Rajya Sabha seeking amendments to the AP Reorganisation Act.
Visakhapatnam: Rajya Sabha member, KVP Ramachandra Rao, who has been more vocal about Special Category Status (SCS) and introduced private member bill in the parliament, alleged that TDP government compromised with the NDA government on the SCS for monetary benefits of its leaders.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, the senior Congress leader reminded that many parties came out in support of SCS to the State, when he introduced private member bill in the Rajya Sabha seeking amendments to the AP Reorganisation Act.
Stating that the 14th Finance Commission never negated SCS to any state, the veteran leader accused Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of colluding with the Centre for his selfish goals.
SCS tag will get a host of industries due to the tax concessions and lead to rapid development in backward regions like, north Andhra and Rayalaseema. The unemployment in both the regions can be solved to a large extent,” he said.
