Hyderabad: Former Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President and present YSR congress leader Botsa Satyanarayana appealed to the Telugu Community to continue to strive hard for the preserving the Telugu culture and traditions regardless of the regions and castes.

Addressing the American Progressive Telugu Association, (APTA) conference here at Milpitas, Satyanarayana said despite being in foreign country like America, Telugus were not being much influenced by the western culture. "I am happy to see the people here in traditional Indian dress celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi in typical Telugu style," he added.

“Despite division of two States, the Telugus here are one,” he said amidst thunderous applause. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana should be proud of their people as they have made rapid strides in various spheres of lives in United States. "Telugus are occupying key positions in many parts of America which makes every Telugu proud," he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Mandali Buddha Prasad, Deputy Speaker, AP Assembly said that Telugus have carved a niche for themselves in America.

Several speakers including BJP leader and Council member Soma Veeraraju, TDP legislator Kadri Babu Rao, Sivaiah Naidu, former IAS officer commended the services of APTA which has taken up several social welfare programmes, particularly health interventions, back in Andhra Pradesh.

They lauded APTA for coming to the help of students pursuing studies in US in obtaining jobs and solving several problems that the student community has been facing in America. APTA has network connecting Telugu US student community seeking jobs and potential employers.
