Reacting harshly against the Centre's denial to the special status category to Andhra Pradesh, YSRCP chief and the leader of opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday castigated Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu alleging that the latter had put the lives of 5 crores of state people at stake in order to come out of the cash for vote case.

He further alleged that Union Minister Arun Jaitley had already intimated Chandrababu on the announcement of special package to the state instead of special status and added that while everyone was waiting for the statement to be released by the Centre, the final announcement showed that the people have been deceived.

YSRCP Nagari MLA RK Roja too came to the fore speaking on the special status demand. While the YSRCP MLA condemned the special package accorded by the Centre, she demanded special status pointing out the benefits it would bring in all round development of the state.

Roja even slammed the centre for announcing the special package at midnight and also alleged that both the TDP and BJP governments have cheated the people of Andhra Pradesh.
