Anantapur: Minister for NRI Welfare and IT, Palle Raghunatha Reddy, who was visibly moved by the plight of women, who were stranded in Indian embassy, assured the women that a Ministerial team from both Telugu States would visit Gulf countries soon and rescue them of all possible help.

Hundreds of women, who have been sold to sheiks as sex slaves and as domestic servants are stranded in Indian Embassy called the Minister over phone on Tuesday.

A woman lamented that she was used as a domestic maid in morning and as sex slave in the night. Another woman said that she was promised a job as maid but in fact was to a sheik for Rs 2 lakh.
