Nellore: The faculty from Harvard Medical School (HMS) visited Narayana Medical College on Wednesday to ink Memorandum of
Understanding with the college for improving the standards in medical education. The Executive Director Robin J Wheatly and Dr Vanesa
Bijol addressed the medical faculty in Gray’s Lecture Gallery in the college and expressed willingness to upgrade skills of the teachers
and post graduate students to improve the education standards on par with global standards.

The training programme will consist of six-month course that would have cutting-edge recorded lectures with innovative teaching
techniques to enhance the quality of medical teaching at the institute. These trained teachers will again be taught by senior teachers from
Harvard Medical School, who are experts in medical education, curriculum preparation and management.

The HMS faculty was impressed by the facilities available at the college. This is the first medical college from south India to have such
kind of collaboration with the HMS, they said. College Principal Dr G V Nagi Reddy, Group Medical Coordinator Dr S Vijaya Kumar AGM
Ch Bhaskar Reddy and others were present.
