New Delhi: The Defence Authorities on Friday cleared the concept of “Borra Caves – The Tribal culture of AP" for the Republic Day parade and marked it for the October 5 meeting for further discussion.
Andhra Pradesh Government had sent three proposals at the "Tableau Meeting" held on Friday. The proposals included Borra Caves, Kuchipudi dance and folk art forms and Buddhism. Deputy Director of I&PR, AP Government, Kiran Kumar, presented the themes to the selection committee. Earlier, the concept of 'Amaravati" was rejected by the committee as the capital city itself is not in place.
