Hyderabad: Rain occurred at many places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and at a few places in Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Friday, with Pagidyala, in Kurnool district, recording six cm of rainfall, the Met department bulletin said.

According to the forecast, the low pressure area over Telangana and its adjoining Vidarbha has become less marked. However, the upper air cyclonic circulation lies over the same area and extends up to midtropospheric levels tilting south-westwards with height. The upper air cyclonic circulation over the west-central Bay of Bengal off the north Andhra Pradesh coast has become less marked.

The trough from Vidarbha to south Tamil Nadu now runs across Telangana and Rayalaseema.These factors will result in light to moderate rain or thundershowers at a few places in the coastal districts and at isolated places in Rayalaseema from September 17 to 20.
