1 dies as lorries collide head-on

Ongole: Two over-speeding lorries collided head-on at Kommalapadu of Santamagulur mandal in Prakasam district.

The police identified that the lorry was carrying a granite block and hit a cement-laden lorry. The driver of the cement lorry died on the spot and the police worked hard to remove the body of him from the cabin.

The heavy granite block on the other lorry jumped onto the road under the impact of collision and its driver and cleaner were severely injured in the accident. The police shifted them to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in Ongole for treatment.
