CP flags off IIID Design Yatra

Visakhapatnam: The aim of the Design Yatra is to bring awareness among public about the interior designs, said local chairman of Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID) Suresh Kannan.

Before the Commissioner of Police T Yoganand flagged off the Design Yatra here on Sunday, Suresh Kannan informed that the yatra, which began from Indore in February this year has to cover 15,000 km by covering 29 IIID centres across the country. The yatra reached the city after covering important cities like Mumbai, Thane, Nasik, Sourashtra, Ahmadabad, Baroda, Jaipur, New Delhi, Kolkata, Raipur and Nagpur.

The designs made by the local artisans would be displayed for the public and the yatra would also visit Etikoppaka, Narava and AU College of Engineering where the designers could share their experiences with the students. Later, the CP flagged off the Design Yatra on the beach road which was witnessed by a large gathering.
