Visakhapatnam: The State government has finalised the dates for conducting Visakha, Bhimili and Araku Utsavas for this year to attract
tourists in a big way. HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao told reporters on Sunday that Araku Utsav would be organised from November
18 to November 20, Bheemili from December 9 to December 11 and Visakha Utsav from January 9 to January 11 (2017).
To Commemorate World Tourism Day in the city on September 27, the district administration will be organising a series of events at the
RK Beach area in the city, he said. The Minister said that the biennial India International Seafood Show (IISS) will open at Port Stadium
on September 23 and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would inaugurate the show. Three three-day IISS is all set to enhance the
brand value of Vizag as the leading centre for seafood exports. Union Ministers M Venkaiah Naidu and Nirmala Sitharaman will be
attending for the IISS.
This is for the second time, the city is hosting seafood festival.
