Convener of Andhra Pradesh  State Telugu Nadu Trade Union Congress (APTNTUC) Raghupathi Rammohan has informed that the TNTUC will be strengthened further on the lines of national trade unions in all the 13 districts in the State.

Visakhapatnam: Convener of Andhra Pradesh State Telugu Nadu Trade Union Congress (APTNTUC) Raghupathi Rammohan has informed that the TNTUC will be strengthened further on the lines of national trade unions in all the 13 districts in the State.

Addressing the district union leaders and workers here on Sunday, Rammohan said that the meeting was aimed at co-ordinating all industrial workers.

He said that district-level union meetings would be conducted every month and called upon the union leaders to educate the working class about various welfare schemes introduced by the TDP Government under the leadership of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Hailing the Chandranna Bheema introduced for the working class, Rammohan said that the Chief Minister was giving priority for the welfare of working class, including unorganised sector.

The only thing required was to take the schemes to the workers by the union.

District TNTUC president Boddu Pydiraju informed the State Convener that they would bring the issues with regard to the Vizag Steel Plant including water scarcity, lack of own captive iron ore mines and usage of Vizag Pride steel in the construction of AP State Capital at Amaravati to the notice of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. The district union would also fight for implementation of minimum wage of Rs 18,000 per month to the workers of unorganised sector, he explained.

State Vice-President Guntupalli Seshagiri Rao, local MLA and president of TDP Urban District Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar, State TNTUC president Rammohan, TDP general secretary Ch V Pattabhiram and V S N Murthy Yadav were present. State TDP leader Kaki Govinda Reddy, State TNTUC leaders Alsi Appala Narayana, K Satya Rao, G Narasinga Rao and district union leaders were present.

Later, the union leaders of Vizag Steel Plant, BHEL, Hindustan Shipyard, Naval Dockyard, HPCL Contract Workers’ Union, AU, KGH, GVMC, Medical and Health Contract Workers’ Union and RTC felicitated the State union convener.
