limits on Sunday. According to rural Circle Inspector P Nagaraj Yadav, Ashok Kumar, a resident of Ganesh Nagar, was working as a
branch manager at Bank of India and was set on a pilgrimage to Nandavaram accompanied by his wife, son and his close relative in a
rented car.

All the five members were said to be returning to their home in Kurnool after having a darshan of Kothuru Subba Rayudu Swamy and
Chowdeshwara Swamy at Nandavaram. The car in which Ashok Kumar and his family were travelling had a head on collision with a car
coming in opposite direction at Tourism Hotel near Orvakal, he said.

In the accident, the car driver Ram Prasad Reddy (45), Maheshwar Rao (55) and his wife Uma Bhai (45) died on the spot, while Ashok
Kumar, his wife Sowmya and son Praneeth received injuries. The injured persons have been shifted to Kurnool General Hospital for
treatment where doctors after providing first aid said Sowmy was in a critical condition. However, Dr Aqeeb and his associate, who were
travelling in the car which was coming in opposite direction, escaped with minor injuries, said Circle Inspector. Police registered a case
and registered and took up investigation.
