Eluru: A 17-year-old B Tech student was killed on the spot and another student was seriously injured, when a car rammed into their
motorbike. They were travelling on the main bypass road near Duggirala village of Pedavegi mandal on Monday.

According to police, Usa Teja Sumanth (17) of Pinakadimi village along with his friend Vamaraju Gayatri Suman of Koppaka Village in
Pedavegi mandal, were on their way to Eluru Engineering College on Monday morning. When they reached Duggirala on the main bypass
road, a Maruti car rammed into their bike. In this accident, Teja Sumanth died on the spot, while the other student Gayatri Suman was
seriously injured.

Local people informed the highway ambulance about the accident after which the injured student was shifted to Eluru Government
Hospital by the National highway Ambulance service.

The body of Teja Sumanth was also sent to the hospital for postmortem. Knowing about the accident, students of Eluru Engineering
College and parents of the victims reached the hospital.
