Visakhapatnam: Angered over the death of a 27-year-old tribal woman due to snake bite, the District Collector, Praveen Kumar, on
Monday suspended the medical officer and staff nurse of Munchingput PHC in the Visakhapatnam agency.
Reports said the woman was identified as Korra Sobhika. She was brought to the PHC late on Sunday night. As doctor and nurse were not
present in the hospital, the woman succumbed to the snake bite.
The family members of the victim informed it to the Collector who immediately issued the suspension orders. The Collector visited
Munchingput PHC on Saturday.
