Cold storage inaugurated at TTD marketing godown

Tirupati: TTD Chairman Dr Chadalawada Krishnamurthy inaugurated the cold storage block in the TTD marketing godown complex here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said the cold storage was useful to preserve the crucial ingredients of Srivari prasadam and annaprasadam and jiggery and dry mirchi which would be purchased in bulk quantity and preserved for later use. He said the two storeyed cold storage with a capacity of 55 tonnes spread over 2,452 sq feet was built at a cost of Rs 1 crore and can be expanded to another two floors in future. On this occasion, he appealed to the media to make Brahmotsavam a grand success.

Tirupati JEO Pola Bhaskar said that the cold storage would be useful in providing quality annaprasadam to devotees by safekeeping quality commodities.

TTD Trust Board members Dr P Hariprasad, Bhanuprakash Reddy, A V Ramana, Dr Bala Veeranjaneyulu and Arikala Narsa Reddy, chief engineer Chandrasekhar Reddy and others were present.
