Kadapa: Collector K V Satyanarayana has appealed to the officials to ensure that the grievances of people are addressed in a timely and
compassionate manner.

He took serious note of pendency of grievances related to land issues, house sites etc., with different departments for a long time.

He held a grievance redressal meeting here on Monday as part of the ‘Prajavani’ programme. He highlighted the need for transparency
and accountability in disposal of public grievances by the government personnel in a time-bound manner.

The Collectorate was packed with petitioners on Monday as people from far-off places like Mylavaram, Obulavari Palle, Rayachoti,
Kamalapuram, Pendlimarri and others formed serpentine queues to make representations to the officials.

The Collector instructed the top brass of all the government departments to take steps to redress the grievances within a period of 15
days after Venugopal of Koduru Vandla Palli of Sundupalle mandal appealed to the Collector to allocate 60 cents of land for
Danduvaramma temple. One Subrahmanyam of Jammalamadugu also sought the Collector to allocate land for the construction of
Kasireddy Nayana temple.

The pendency of a grievance relating to old age pensions appalled the Collector as Rama Subbamma, a widow from Mittamanu Palli at
Mydukuru mandal said that she could not avail her old age pension despite making several pleas to the officials.

He also instructed officials to provide solutions for the petitions submitted by the pensioners within a month. He assured her that
measures would be taken to redress pensioners’ grievances immediately.

Joint Collector Swetha Tavathiya, DRO Sulochana, DRDA PD Anilkumar Reddy and others were present.
