GMC forms medical teams to check fevers

Amaravati: Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) Additional Commissioner Krishna Kaparthi on Monday flagged off mobile teams to create
awareness on dengue and malaria fevers in Guntur city.

He said mobile medical teams would tour all divisions in Guntur city and create awareness among people on the preventive measures. He
said that the GMC had set up seven teams. The teams would sensitise people on dengue and malaria fevers. He urged the patients
suffering from fevers to immediately go to urban health centres and get treatment.

He stressed on the need to conduct blood tests to the patients suffering from fevers. He said the GMC public health department staff
would go on door-to-door survey and create awareness. He urged the people use mosquito nets. He said the GMC had taken steps to
improve sanitation in the city.

The District Medical and Health Officer Dr G Padmaja Rani stressed on the need to keep surroundings clean to check spread of dengue
and malaria fevers.
