Kadapa: Two couples of Pendlamarri in the district became proud parents of two infants thanks to the In vitro fertilization (IVF) propagated by Dr Sama Sudha of Balaji Nursing Home (Sudha Test Tube Baby Centre) at Apsara Circle here. They conveyed their gratitude by calling on her along with the newborns.
Dr Sudha told the media that atmospheric pollution, changes in people’s lifestyle, stress, bad habits and infections were among the factors leading to women not being able to conceive.
She said the couples could become parents despite the men having only 0.5 million sperms, as against the normal 30 million. She said the centre has facilities like semen bank, egg donor etc.
According to Dr Sudha, the couples were able to become parents at a cost less than that being charged in cities like Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
