SBI hikes limit on deposits through cash machines

Rajamahendravaram: State Bank of India (SBI) has increased the cash deposit limit through debit card from Rs 49,900 to Rs 2 lakh through the cash deposit machine at the cash point for the benefit of depositors, said SBI regional manager Ramachandra Rao on Friday. Earlier, the facility was available for current and savings accounts alone. The facility to deposit money through debit card has now been extended to PPF account, loan accounts and remittance of direct taxes. He appealed to the customers to make use of the facility.
