‘Water assured to every farmer in Ponangi’
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that he tried to save the crops in Ponangi area by diverting Godavari water from Polavaram Right Main Canal (PRMC) to Tamileru rivulet. He assured that he would take up necessary steps to supply irrigation water to this area on a permanent basis.
Eluru: Eluru MLA Badeti Kota Ramarao assured farmers that the State government would supply irrigation water to every acre to save farmers in Ponangi area in Eluru. The MLA participated in the Vanam Manam programme in Ponangi village in Eluru rural mandal on Tuesday, planted saplings and arranged tree guards.

The MLA distributed house site pattas to the beneficiaries in the village on the occasion. Eluru Mandal Parishad president Reddy Anuradha, MPTC member Marapu Lakshmi, ZPTC member Matta Rajeswari, sarpanch T Vijayalakshmi and mandal tahsildar GJS Kumar participated in the programme.
