SP hands over `2 lakh cheque to home guard’s wife

Kurnool: District Superintendent of Police P H D Ramakrishna handed over a cheque for Rs 2 lakh towards compensation to the wife of
home guard at his office here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the District Superintendent of Police said home guard N Bhaskar (HG No.33) died recently due to ill health.
The home guard was said to be discharging duties at Proddatur traffic police station.
He said that the cheque is being given as part of welfare measures and was sanctioned from the police contribution fund.
Ramakrishna enquired Amaravati, wife of home guard, about her children’s studies and assured his support for their education. The
deceased is survived by wife and two children.
Police Officers Association District president Agraharam Srinivasa Sharma, welfare clerk Augustine Babu and others were present.
