Pithapuram: In a very rare incident that turned out to be a visual feast to the devotees of Durgada Panchayatana Sameta Uma
Ramalingeswara Swamy temple here in Gollaprolu mandal on Wednesday, sun rays touched the presiding deity which lighted the entire
sanctum sanctorum.
Reacting to this, temple priests Dattu and Veerababu said that sun rays could reach the presiding deity only twice a year. Another
distinction of this temple, according to devotees, was Ganga Devi abiding on Shiva Linga in the form of a rock. The temple priests
performed a special Abhishekam to the lord.
