Amaravati: Balineni Seethaiah will take charge as Tobacco Board vice-chairman on Monday in Guntur. He was elected as vice-chairman at a board meeting held in Hyderabad, recently. Present vice-chairman Gadde Seshagiri Rao’s tenure will be completed on September 26. Seethaiah joined TDP in 1983 and worked for solution to tobacco farmers' problems.

Based on the recommendation of the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the Central government appointed him as director of the board. Speaking to the Hans India, he said that he would try get better price to the farmers, apart from solving their problems.
