Lottery tickets selling gang busted
The Chittoor police busted an inter-state lottery tickets selling gang, according to S Chandrasekhar, Circle Inspector, Chittoor rural. The police arrested three gang members and seized the lottery tickets and cash worth Rs 4.3 lakh from their possession.

Speaking to the media here on Saturday, the CI said that criminals residing in Chittoor used to sell the lottery tickets of various States here as against the ban on selling lottery tickets in the State. He said that Ranga Rajan (47), Chittibabu (44) and Thyagaraju (38), residents of Chittoor, used to sell the lottery tickets to the innocent and poor public at lucrative prices.
Using their cyber tactics, this gang used to generate the lottery tickets through internet, he added. He further stated that a team of police officers would soon launch the operation for nabbing Dinesh Kumar, a resident of Mulakalacheruvu, the king pin of the crime, who is said to be absconding. He appealed to the public not to purchase lottery tickets as selling was banned in the State.
