Encroachments removed
The municipal corporation staff from the city planning and engineering department taken up the removal of encroachments on the roadside on Leelamahal-Karakambadi road on Tuesday.
Tirupati: The municipal corporation staff from the city planning and engineering department taken up the removal of encroachments on the roadside on Leelamahal-Karakambadi road on Tuesday.
The removal of encroachment was first taken up at Mangalam area on busy road where the encroachment of public places, including road margins and pavement, is hindering public movement and also creating traffic problems.
The corporation staff removed the temporary structures like sheds put by the eateries and also the shops on pavements ignoring the protests from the shopkeepers. Corporation sources said, as the corporation included the Karakamabdi road as one of the areas for beautification, the removal of encroachment was need for taking up beatification works.
Municipal commissioner V Vinay Chand was directed by higher authorities for the removal of the encroachments in all major junctions, important circles and arterial roads in the pilgrim city and expected to be taken up soon.
