25 villages cut off in Agency areas
In Polavaram mandal, the flood water is flowing on the Kothuru causeway, resulting in the cut off to 19 villages to the outer areas in the mandals. Eluru: River Godavari flood level is gradually rising in West Godavari district, following the heavy inflow in the upstream areas on Wednesday. About 25 villages in Polavaram, Kukunuru and Velairpadu Agency mandals were cut off to other areas due to the flood water. The official administration is on alert following the flood warning to River Godavari.According to information available, the River Godavari flood level is rising in Polavaram and Kovvuru areas due to heavy inflow from Khammam district. The officials expected heavy inflow to the river for the next two days.
