Villagers are shifting to safer places after vacating their houses, as the Irrigation officials filled the reservoir without any advance warning. Besides, facilities in the rehabilitation centres set up for the affected residents lack even minimum facilities.

With the reservoir level rising, flood water is entering the village and bringing along snakes and insects that are causing a scare among the inmates, some residents in desperation are migrating to nearby villages. They are also agitated after officials advised them to vacate the village itself, without providing even minimum facilities in the rehabilitation centres.
