East Godavari: registration of Gulf-bound workers made compulsory

​Kakinada (AP): East Godavari district administration today made registration of those going to the Gulf countries for employment mandatory.

The decision was taken at a meeting held by the district collector H Arun Kumar and superintendent of police M Ravi Prakash here.

At nearly every police station, especially at Razole, Malikipuram and Amalapuram, there were complaints of cheating by recruitment agents who send people to the Gulf countries with false promises, the collector said.

He advised the job aspirants not to fall prey to bogus recruitment agents.
