AP govt mulls cottages atop Indrakeeladri
Minister for Endowments P Manikyala Rao said that the government is planning to construct cottages atop Indrakeeladri for devotees visiting Kanakadurga Temple to relinquish Bhvani Deeksha.
​Vijayawada: Minister for Endowments P Manikyala Rao said that the government is planning to construct cottages atop Indrakeeladri for devotees visiting Kanakadurga Temple to relinquish Bhvani Deeksha.
Speaking to mediapersons, here on Tuesday, the Minister said that they would try to provide accommodation to at least 40,000 devotees per day.
“Plans are in place to provide anna prasadam to every devotee visiting the temple. We will protect the sanctity of the temple and will take all steps to develop it on par with Lord Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati.
We will take the suggestions from devotees for preparation of Durga temple master plan,” he added. He said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was taking utmost care to Durga temple development due to importance of the shrine.
He skipped the issue of laddu prasadam quality by saying that experts committee was pursuing the issue. He, along with executive officer A Surya Kumari has a darshan of the deity.
He also inspected anna prasadam centre, laddu prasadam karkhana and temple area.
