Tirumala: TTD is poised to provide food, water and hot beverages on a large scale coping with the huge rush of devotees expected for Garuda Seva, the major event of Brahmotsavams on October 7.Speaking to the media on the special arrangement for Garuda Seva, deputy executive officer (Annadanam) Chenchu Lakshmi said food, water, beverages and delicacies like beisebelabath, sambar bath and curd rice besides butter milk, milk for children in Vaikuntam queue complex would be provided.

Speaking to reporters at Media Centre, Tirumala on Tuesday, Dr Vikas said that in all five first aid centres, five dispensaries and additional 30 beds at Ashwini hospital have been arranged for Brahmotsavams and the crucial Garuda Seva Day by deputing medical officers from SVIMS, BIRRD and district health units. He said special care would be taken to ensure all night medicare to the trekking devotees.

He said the TTD has made elaborate arrangements for providing full scale medical facilities for devotees wherever needed and ensure that there is no threat to life during the Brahmotsavam, particularly on Garuda Seva Day.
