​Visakhapatnam: Minister for Economics (Nepal) Krishna Hari Purashkar and acting ambassador to India Krishna Prasad Dhakal visited Visakhapatnam Port Trust on Tuesday.Deputy chairman of Port Trust PL Haranadh welcomed them and made a brief presentation and explained the infrastructure available in the port and movement of cargo through container terminal on to the rakes with fully mechanised system to the importers in Nepal and to make use of the facilities available through the port.

The Nepal team had expressed its satisfaction and sought for a trade meet with all the stake holders, customs and railways for considering import and export of cargo by Nepal government to India through Visakhapatnam Port and looking forward for business in the years to come. Earlier on June 23, a team led by Dr Somlal Subedi, Chief Secretary of Nepal government visited the port and was impressed with the facilities being available at the Visakhapatnam Port Trust.
