Visakhapatnam: Andhra University Vice-Chancellor Prof G Nageswara Rao on Tuesday assured that a special job mela would be arranged for the students of AU affiliated colleges. He called upon the college managements to impart social responsibility among the students.
He was addressing the AU affiliated college managements at ‘Atmeeya Sammelan’ organised by the Affiliated College Managements’ Association here. Prof Nageswara Rao felt that the role of affiliated colleges was crucial in securing national rankings and asked them to update all important academic information of the university.
Stating that the strength of university was affiliated colleges, he opined that the colleges should also prosper along with the university with mutual co-operation. Registrar Prof V Umamaheswara Rao felt that the academic mindset of affiliated college managements must be changed and it should work hard to provide quality education with values.
Honorary President of Affiliated College Managements’ Association N Sesha Reddy underscored the need of providing employment to the students by the time they complete graduation for which campus interviews are to be conducted. Association President T Balarama Krishna assured that they are all ready to work with a team spirit to increase the pass percentage. Secretary Sunkara Ravindra, vice president Rama Rao, treasurer J Ramanaji and AU College Development Council Dean Prof T Koteswara Rao also spoke.
AU SDE spot admissions Visakhapatnam: The School of Distance Education, Andhra University will receive exam applications on the spot for its BA, B Com and B Sc courses at the Government College for Men, Srikakulam on October 6 and 7 between 9 am and 5 pm, informed Director Prof L D Sudhakara Babu.
He informed that exam applications for the above courses will also be received on the spot at D N R College, Bhimavaram on the same dates from 9 am to 5 pm. More details can be had over Ph Nos: 9848199155, 7702257821 and 9963474712 during office hours, he added.
