800 police stations to be revamped

Amaravati: Director General of Police N Sambasiva Rao on Wednesday performed bhumi puja to construct model police stations at Nagarampalem and at old Guntur police station premises.Speaking on this occasion, he said that first priority will be given to Guntur and Vijayawada in setting up the model police stations.
Subsequently, another 800 police stations will be developed as model police stations. He further said that they will use modern technology to render better services at the model police stations.He said the construction of the model police station in Guntur city will be completed within two months. He stressed on the people and significance of people-friendly policing.
