Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed his displeasure over irregularities in sand mining operations. Stating that he was unhappy with irregularities in the implementation of pension scheme, he said that action should be taken against the corruption in the housing scheme during the Congress regime.

Speaking at the second day of TDP workshop at KL University on Wednesday, he said that he has information over alleged involvement of politicians in illegal sand mining operations. “We will not spare anyone, even TDP leaders,” he warned.

The Chief Minister alleged that the previous Congress government allotted 14,000 houses for ineligible persons. “Corruption in housing scheme amounts to Rs 4,300 crore. It is tax players’ money and we will reclaim every single penny,” he asserted.

Naidu said that the government had noticed several irregularities in the pension scheme. “Those, who are not eligible for the scheme are getting pensions, it is illegal,” he fumed and added that the technology would solve all the problems.

He expressed concern over untouchability, which was prevalent in the society. “We should take it as a challenge and eradicate it from society,” he said. Several Ministers and MLAs were also present.
