​Anantapur: All the State government employees, pensioners, journalists and their families can avail free treatment using their health cards in all 23 network private hospitals in the State apart from NTR Arogya Sri centres in the government general hospitals in the State, according to NTR Vaidhya Seva district coordinator Dr Soujanya Kumar.

Addressing a meeting here to clarify the doubts of health card stake holders, Kumar said that most of the State government employees were not using the health cards, while pensioners are using the health cards. Only 40 journalists appear to have used the health cards. The card entails usage for one year follow-up of their ailment medical treatment.

Orthopedic complaints, chemotheraphy, dialysis and eye diseases are part of the general package. Dental treatment is confined to only State government employees and journalists. Arogya Sri coordinator promised to take the issue of revision of packages to the trust notice. He promised to attend to any health card issues which are brought to his notice.

GGH superintendent Dr Jaganath said that treatment is absolutely free and cashless in all the 27 network hospitals. In case of any white card holder not having Arogya Sri card, on producing of their ID proof, they will be issued temporary cards for urgent treatment.
