Tirumala: Hassle-free supply of food, water, butter milk and annaprasadam to devotees at galleries and provision of darshan are top priorities on Garuda Seva day, asserted TTD executive officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao. Speaking to the media during Kalpavruksha Vahanam in mada streets on Thursday, the TTD executive officer said devotees will be allowed to sit in the galleries from 10 am and they would be provided water and quick meals whereever they are.

Keeping in view the safety of devotees two-wheelers will be banned from 12 midnight of October 6 to 8 am of October 8, he said. The executive officer said APSRTC will run buses round-the-clock and ply over 3,500 trips with a capacity to carry 1.75 lakh devotees to Tirumala on October 7 for the crucial and holistic Garuda Seva event.

The walkers path of Srivari Mettu and Alipiri will also be kept open for 24 hours throughout the day. The vigilance, police, Srivari Sevaks and TTD staff will coordinate and ensure a smooth and incident free conduct of Garuda Seva.
