Nellore: Police department is engaging high-end technology such as drones, CCTV cameras and other surveillance for monitoring the crowd during a three-day festival that begins from October 13. He visited Barashaheed Dargah on Friday, along with senior police officials, and said that they are expectign 10 lakh devotees from various regiosn as the State government has announced it as State festival.

The surveillance mechanism covers an area of two km radius for round-the-clock monitoring, he said. Very few police personnel will be deployed; members of Police Sevadal, 100 NCC volunteers and 100 members from Krishnapatnam Security would be placed for maintaining free-flow of devotees during the peak days. Mayor Sk Abdul Aziz, SP Vishal Gunni and senior police officials were also present.
