Tirumala: On the seventh day of Brahmotsavams Lord Malayappa Swamy, the processional deity of Lord Venkateswara, was taken in a procession atop Suryaprabha Vahanam, blessing his devotees along four mada streets, on Sunday.

Being the chief deity among Navagrahas, Lord Surya is often portrayed as riding a chariot driven by seven horses.

These 7 horses represent the colours of the rainbow and the seven chakras in the human body. As Surya is the vision of Virata Purusha, he is worshipped as Suryanarayana Murthy.

By taking ride on Suryaprabha Vahana, Lord sends a message to devotees that his presence can be felt in the form of Sun God.

TTD chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, JEOs KS Sreenivasa Raju, Pola Bhaskar, TTD trust board members and devotees participated in the fete.
