Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president N Raghuveera Reddy has called upon the party delegates to create awareness among people on the corrupt rule of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in the State. He alleged that the Telugu Desam government is involved in corruption and added that the corruption level reached to thousands of crores. Raghuveera Reddy inaugurated the awareness classes to the party delegates at the State party office here on Thursday.
Addressing the party workers on the occasion, the PCC Chief alleged that the BJP and Telugu Desam governments are spreading the lies to divert the attention of the people as they have failed to fulfill the promises made in the party manifesto in the elections. Raghuveera Reddy also alleged that both BJP and Telugu Desam Party have cheated the people on implementation of Special Category Status to the State.
He also said the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is ruling the state by murdering democracy and controlling the media and appealed to the party leaders to reach out to the people by exposing the misrule of TDP. Senior party leader K V P Ramachandra Rao alleged that the Chief Minister had left the Special Status to get the Polavaram package. He added that the TDP and BJP created hurdles for Special Status because the Congress party may get credit for it.
The party leader made it clear that the Congress would fight for the Special Category status. Senior leader J D Seelam accused both BJP and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for cheating Andhra Pradesh on Special Category issue. C Ramachandraiah, Opposition leader in the Legislative Council lambasted that Chandrababu Naidu failed in all fronts to rule the State.
Vijayawada Congress president Malladi Vishnu alleged that Chandrababu Naidu is violating the constitutional norms by adopting Swiss challenge method for construction of the capital. He added the Congress party would oppose the secret agreements made by Chandrababu Naidu on construction of the capital.
