Village Revenue Assistants storm Collectorate
They asked enhancement of salary from Rs 6,500 to Rs 10,000, payment of salaries through treasuries under 010 account. About 200 VRAs from across thedistrict squatted in front of the Collectorate. On learning about it, Collector P Laxminarasimham rushed to spot and received a memorandum from them and assured to solve their demands.
Srikakulam: Village Revenue Assistants (VRAs) staged a protest in front of Collectorate here on Thursday, demanding that the government solve issues relating to their salary and service.Speaking on the occasion, VRAs association leaders, Y Appala Swamy, M Rama Rao, L Krishna Rao and S Prasad found fault with the government for neglecting their issues for years together. They want the government to recognise them as Class IV employees and provide all facilities.
