Nellore: Minister for Municipal Administration P Narayana said that the State government would provide housing for all slum-dwellers by November 2017. He along with Mayor Abdul Aziz, visited Barashaheed Dargah on Friday. Later, interacting with media persons, the Minister said that multi-storeyed buildings would be built as part of the efforts to providing permanent houses to the poor, which would be launched in Tirupati, soon.

Narayana informed that people visiting dargah for roti festival has increased by 30 per cent compared to the previous year. “Devotees thronged from different parts of the country to exchanging rotis. Municipal, Revenue and Policed Departments have been co-ordinating with one another and monitoring the arrangements at dargah,” he said. He reminded that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu assured that about 68 per cent of the income from dargah would be allocated for the development of the dargah itself. He also said that the Chief Minister had promised to allocate Rs 20 crores to dargah.
