`48 crore for welfare of Boyas: Kollu Ravindra
Reiterating the commitment of the TDP government to the welfare of Boyas, he said Rs 48 crore would be spent for their economic upliftment. BC Welfare principal secretary G Anantha Ramu, director K Harshavardhan, in-charge collector Gandham Chandrudu, sub-collector G Lakshmi Shah, Valmiki Boya Welfare Association convener M Jagadish and others took part in the celebrations.Â
Vijayawada: Minister for BC Welfare Kollu Ravindra said that the government would spend Rs 48 crore to uplift the Boya community. Addressing a meeting after inaugurating the Valmiki Jayanti celebrations organised by the Backward Classes Welfare Department at Tummalapalli Kshetrayya Kalakshetram, the Minister hailed the author of the epic Ramayana as a great social reformer.
