Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that all cash transactions should be allowed through banks only. Inaugurating the Andhra Bank secretariat branch in Interim Secretariat Complex at Velagapudi, here on Friday, he said that if all the money transactions were operated through banks, then black money would be curbed.

On this occasion, Naidu said the State government has laid the foundation stone for Amaravati capital city last year and said that Union Minister Arun Jaitley would launch the financial growth-oriented capital cities programme on October 28. He said that the State is progressing after surpassing many hurdles post bifurcation. He recalled how had to stay in bus for launching the administration from State. “We have come to Amaravati to speed up development in the State” he added.

Naidu reiterated that the State government constructed the Interim Secretariat Complex in a span of one year. “We set a record of sorts” he quipped. The CM also released Rs 20 crore for DWACRA women. Whereas, Andhra Bank donated 10 fagging machines for 10 panchayats, 60 beds for Guntur Government Hospital, one vehicle for Nagarjuna University and Rs 3 lakhs for Amaravati shopping festival. Ministers P Pulla Rao, P Narayana, Ravela Kishore Babu, Pithala Sujatha, MLA Sravan Kumar, Andhra Bank Chairman and Managing Director Suresh S Patil, Guntur DGM Danunjay, Secretariat Employees Association president U Murali Krishna and several officials were also present.
