Police martyrs remembered for selfless service

Ongole: Police personnel paid rich tributes to the martyrs to mark the Police Commemoration Day here on Friday. District Collector Sujatha Sharma, Superintendent of Police Dr CM Trivikrama Varma, Bapatla MP Sriram Malyadri, Ongole MLA Damacharla Janardhan, Kandukur MLA Potula Ramarao, former MLA Divi Sriram attended the police martyrs day parade at the Police Parade Grounds.

The Collector distributed prizes to the school children and police staff who showed merit in essay writing, painting and elocution competition.Later, the police personnel took out a rally from the district police office to the RTC bus stand to remember the services of the martyrs. SP Trivikrama Varma paid floral tributes to the statue of John Wesley, security officer of the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy, at the church centre and consoled his mother.
