Vijayawada: Minister for Transport and Roads and Buildings Sidda Raghava Rao said the Transport department had achieved revenues of Rs 1,205 crore by September against the total target of Rs 2,254 for 2016-17 financial year.Speaking at a review meeting here on Tuesday, the Minister said talks were on with the World Bank for getting funds for the implementation of road safety in the State.

He informed that Aadhaar seeding with vehicles and vehicle drivers was completed 90 percent in the State and online services of transport department would be extended in addition to online vehicle registrations. Middle-men interference and corruption in vehicles registrations has been curtailed because of online vehicle registrations, he said. Transport commissioner Balasubrahmanyam and others participated.
